Case Study: Maximizing Productivity through Optimization and Integration

Client: Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA)

Project: DODEA had a pressing need to horizontally distribute and expand the tools to create meaningful information and reports. The problem for DODEA was the lack of security when multiple users accessed different data sets and raw information at the same time in report creation. To deal with this problem, users had to perform multiple tasks in order to develop their reports. Due to the inordinate amount of time that it took to produce and disseminate these reports, the data could become obsolete and, in certain circumstances, irrelevant or untimely to the decision makers in the organization.

TTC personnel integrated and consolidated all the data from various applications from 15 data silos to one central location, making it highly available and accessible to all departments. Our personnel also integrated application services and Global Load balancing technologies to make corporate information available and scalable via a unified web service that offers access to 2500 end users concurrently.

Our solution provides one central family of online reporting tools with high availability and consistency for all reporting needs. TTC personnel are deploying an ERP application for 18 locations through a global HTTP and SQL server load balanced cluster with virtual web services systems, providing client side and server fault tolerance.
